2021 AORC Ready To Fire With Shoalhaven City Council Sponsorship Support

Motorcycling Australia is very pleased to announce a sponsorship partnership with the Shoalhaven City Council to support Rounds 1 and 2 of the Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship, presented by MXStore (AORC), at Nowra, NSW, March 27 and 28.

With record entries expected for the season opener, hundreds of riders, teams and fans will descend on the picturesque Shoalhaven region for two days of intense competition across 14 classes.

The sponsorship support from Shoalhaven City Council is invaluable as it ensures that the AORC opening rounds will be nothing short of spectacular.

“We are extremely thankful for the ongoing support from Shoalhaven City Council which ensures we can provide a memorable season opener of the 2021 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship, presented by MXStore,” said Motorcycling Australia Events Manager, Hannah Bayly.

“Nowra is a spectacular venue for our first two rounds and the local Oyster Bay Motorcycle Club are busy designing challenging circuits to test every rider’s ability and fitness.”

Shoalhaven City Council, Tourism Manager, Coralie Bell, said: “Shoalhaven Tourism is very excited host the opening round of the 2021 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship, presented by MXStore, which will see hundreds of riders, officials and spectators to our region providing a significant economic boost”.

“This is the first time the AORC has been to Shoalhaven and it is our local businesses who will benefit from the influx, as visitors will utilise our sensational restaurants, hotels, cafes, and service centres.

“Shoalhaven City Council is partnering with AORC to bring this national event to our region which receives national and international exposure, and we hope that this helps attract more tourists to our beautiful region.”

“We are extremely proud to be hosting the event and warmly welcome all competitors, officials and supporters.

“While competitors, officials and fans are here, we hope they explore our beautiful coastline, sample our village culture and our fresh and fabulous food.

“There is so much to enjoy. Best wishes for a successful event and a terrific stay in the Shoalhaven.”
