Nowra AORC Rounds Cancelled

Nowra Rounds 7 & 8 of AORC cancelled due to wet conditions

After extensive consultation with host club Oyster Bay Motorcycle Club and assessment by MA’s official course assessor of the intended course, the recent rain means that it will not be possible to have the tracks in race-ready condition in time for the scheduled 6-7 August event.

The course is waterlogged

After recent flooding in the region, Motorcycling Australia (MA) is today announcing the unfortunate cancellation of Nowra, NSW Rounds 7 & 8 of the 2022 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship presented by MXstore (AORC).

For event manager Matt Falvo, the cancellation is disappointing, but unfortunately necessary. “The recent flooding in the region has made this a hugely difficult task. The Oyster Bay Motorcycle Club have been over the entire course and the photos speak for themselves. While a single bike might get through in a few weeks, once we have the entire field on the course, it will become impassable.”

The next event in the 2022 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship presented by MXstore (AORC) will be Rounds 9 & 10: 17-18 Sept 2022, in Kingston SE, SA.
