Yamaha AORC will head back to Omeo in 2018

Motorcycling Australia (MA) are happy to announce that with the Support of the East Gippsland Council the Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) will once again be tearing up the terrain in Omeo, Victoria to finish the 2018 championship.

After a successful first venture in 2017 to Omeo, Victoria the East Gippsland Council have jumped on board to bring Rounds 10 & 11 back for season 2018, alongside the Victorian Off-Road Championship in conjunction with the Koo Wee Rup Motorcycle club.

Omeo offers riders a chance to show off all their technical skills with the many different terrains facing riders at each turn. Omeo offers an open flat grassy track with elements of rocky, bushy conditions with some tight corners navigating through the trees.

A thrilling final round at Omeo in 2017 saw the AORC premier titles all decided on the final weekend, and we can expect nothing different in 2018 with an exciting group of riders returning to chase their respective championship titles.

MA’s Off Road Events Coordinator Matt Falvo stated; “I am excited with the support from East Gippsland Council and to bring the AORC back to Omeo in 2018, after a successful first visit in 2017, we can’t wait to see what Omeo has in store for us next season.”

All 2018 AORC dates and locations are now official and can be viewed here.
